Battlefield: Bad Company Hits PS3, X360 on June 23
by Chris Faylor, Apr 15, 2008 7:30am PDTEA DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company (PS3, X360) will ship to North American retailers on June 23, publisher and studio owner Electronic Arts has revealed.
Unlike previous Battlefield entries, Bad Company features destructible environments and a character-driven single-player campaign in addition to the series' traditional class-based multiplayer.
Based on the feedback surrounding the closed Xbox Live multiplayer beta, the studio dropped its plans to sell additional weapons as micro-transactions. Instead, players will be able to acquire those weapons by either buying the Gold Edition of the game or earning the highest level in multiplayer.

Gold Rush is just like conquest but more team driven and sequential. You have to secure gold crates at the first point before the next set of crates appear and the map grows. So there's to sneaking way behind enemy lines where there's no one to protect objectives. So even though its 24 players, how concentrated it is really makes it feel like theres more players.
Not to mention there's vehicles and unique classes. The ranking system, if kept the same from the beta, goes up pretty fast. Playing with your team and helping out gets you a lot of points and you'll rank up and unlock around 8-10 items in no time. At a certain rank (the officer ones) you gain an unlock lass often.
