World in Conflict: Soviet Assault Trailer Released

Developer Massive Entertainment has released a new trailer for its upcoming expansion and console port World in Conflict: Soviet Assault (PC, PS3, X360), introducing the strategy title to console players.

Soviet Assault will be released on the PC as an expansion to the original World in Conflict, while Swordfish Entertainment is combining the original and the expansion into a standalone console release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

World in Conflict: Soviet Assault is expected to ship this fall on all platforms.

Multiplayer in this game was/is fun, singleplayer on the other hand was crap as in completely guiding you what you should do and where to place units. And if you didn't listen you got fucked. Basically no freedom of choice, no tactics no nothing. Their old series of them, Gound Control, were a lot more fun in that regard.

As said it was all well and dandy in multiplayer, however I found myself playing more Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander and even the old Dawn of War as this one here.

I desperately wan't want WIC 2 to mix BF with Wic1 by allowing players to play infantry and vehicle roles. The engine looks very capable of doing it. I would kill to have a modern RTS where you send off your squad of choppers and then jump to one as a gunner so that you can turn the tide of battle when its evenly matched. Would be even more awesome for MP.

hahahah worst bit of "hey look at our previous games magazine rating scores, see our game kicks so much asses". i have never played a game based on some developer telling me how awesome their last game did at the reviews. PLEASE HOMIE, you're ain't foolin' dis gamah! can you see will wright doing a piece like this? braggin' about how well sims sold/review scores of sim's montage. this guy fails at advertising.
