Mafia 2 Screenshots Look Shot Up

2K Games today released a new batch of screenshots of 2K Czech's open-world mobster simulator sequel Mafia 2.

The company also announced that the game will be released simultaneously on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Mafia 2 is set to hit stores during Take-Two's 2009 fiscal year, which runs from November 1, 2008 through October 31, 2009.

I'm really excited about this one. They did such an amazing job on the first one with the great story and voice actors. The game was a joy to play and only got better as it moved along. I played the whole thing through like a year after I first beat it and it was still great. Maybe I'll play it once more before the second one comes out. It's great to hear about it since for the longest time not a word was spoken about its development.

I hope this game is more of a, err well, I didn't expect a mafia game to be 95% about driving and racing. I hope they changed that in the sequel at least.

So pretty. Can't wait. Mafia had this intensity about it that GTA counters with over-the-top shenanigans - with both of these coming, my gaming cup overfloweth. :D
