Far Cry 2 Confirmed for Fall 2008 Release
by Aaron Linde, Mar 26, 2008 7:06pm PDTFar Cry 2 (PC, PS3, X360) is now scheduled for release in the fall of this year, Ubisoft revealed in a production video released today. The title had previously been slated for a vague fiscal year 2008-2009 release.
Made without the involvement of series creator Crytek, which sold the Far Cry rights to Ubisoft in 2006. Crytek moved on to Crysis (PC) and other projects while Ubisoft Montreal was tasked with Far Cry 2.
The new title ditches the mutants, feral abilities and protagonist of 2004's Far Cry and its expansions, choosing instead to present a brand new experience in an open-ended and non-linear world.
"The team has been working extremely hard to ensure that there are no compromises made for quality or features on each platform," said Ubisoft Montreal producer LP Pharand.

Here I was hyped about this game, now its not even close to what I thought it was going to be.
Now it'll be console'd to death although they say "The team has been working extremely hard to ensure that there are no compromises made for quality or features on each platform,"
I seriously doubt that...
