Million dollar question: Will this game be worth playing?

I very much hope so but the feedback i got from the beta wasn't good at all (even for mmo beta standards).

Youch. I was hoping it might at least be a fairly badass fun online distraction for a month or two.

Hmm, I remember everyone saying D&D Online / Vangaurd / LOTR:O would be the next great MMO. All have disappointed.

To be honest, World of Warcraft did raise the bar a noth or two (or ten). And evolved quite a bit since its release. So it is understandable quite a lot of newcomers (that started developing when WoW was in its early days) don't live up to today's standards. You don't outclass Blizzard easily. I doubt anyone ever did.

LOTRO is a great mmo, however nothing is going to take over WoW unless it's from Blizzard. The only crappy thing about lotro is they recycle mob models the worst I have ever seen however I wonder how badly they are limited due to the ip.

It really is too bad that MMO's just aren't really any fun.
