  • As a developer who specializes in open world games (har har!) I find this kind of game really appealing, but I hate the rather idiotic promotionalism that goes into little marketing/PR segments like this. This isn't very honest towards average gamers. And in general with Prototype, i've seen way too many prerendered video segments, too many staged 'screenshots' (same as UT3, a bad trend in our industry), too many concept art pieces. Yes, I get that its a big expensive effort with 100+ developers producing very polished stuff... but where is the actual game?

lol... can you be any more pretentious?? Seriously, you're a game developer, you live in a world of technical restraints - memory, GPU, CPU, cache, latencies... these are restraints, which means you'll always be dealing with trade-off's. Too many polygons on screen? Cut them down! Too many animating characters at once, get rid of some! AI taking too much CPU? Opitimize and simplify! My friend, almost every second of your life is spent fighting against these restraints.

The programmers there at Radical must be secretly crying inside for this guy to say some BS like this.
