Additional Street Fighter 4 Details Surface
by Steve Gibson, Dec 06, 2007 10:12pm PSTSeems like even more Street Fighter IV details are making the way on to the internet
after the little taste we had
just a few hours ago. The latest bit of info actually comes from a Brazilian blog called href="http://www.blogeek.com.br/?p=85">Blogeek
the game to show off as well. Here are some translations of the key points:
- The game runs at 60 frames per second
- Online play is confirmed
- The game take place between Street Fighter II Turbo and Street Fighter III
- Probably won't see any of the Street Fighter III characters
- There are two new female characters
- Parry system from SF3 is replaced with a new system called savings or revenge (unsure
which)
- Supers are still present although it is undecided whether it will be the SSF2T or SF3 system. In addition,
moves called Ultras have been added.
- Shen Long may appear
- Platform is undecided, although Xbox 360 and PS3 seem given. It is likely it will appear in arcades in Japan in Q2 2008.

Will they play the boob physics card on the two new girl characters or stay classy, San Diego? Looks like there might already some junk physics from the screenshot given.

GD man thats like the best thing i've ever seen on a fighting game ...EVER
and they do away with it!?? :(
its kinda early in the game, but thats not the news i wanted to hear....
plus this looks like a prettier Street fighter EX (and i dont particularly care for that one)
i sure hope it plays good in motion and not like EX ...thats what im hoping for

If they are going to 60 fps, that's a hell of a lot of frames that have to be sent across the network.
If they aren't going lockstep, they will need a fairly sophisticated network model to handle timing conditions. Read: Don't make the netcode suck. Please.
