Report: Fury and BSG Developer Folding
by Nick Breckon, Dec 06, 2007 10:08am PSTIndependent Australian developer Auran has been forced to let go much of its staff as the result of financial instability, according to a report by Angry Gamer.
The article cites an anonymous source which claims many layoffs have already taken place, with several employees seeking to migrate in the aftermath to Melbourne-based studio Tantalus.
Auran had recently released the player vs. player-focused PC MMO Fury, in addition to Battlestar Galactica (PC, XBLA), a budget title based on the hit television show. According to the source, Fury development may be continued by a Chinese studio.
"Fury was a financial disaster, it lost Auran a lot of money," said the source.

Think of it as Quake III Arena meets Guild Wars and keeps the worst parts of both games.
I downloaded it after the brief demo (a mistake for me). I figured many others did the same and purhapes liked it. Bottom line, was BSG game a dud or success?
