Morning Discussion

Alas, it is Monday again. Hate to be the herald of bad news, but at least my recap has plenty of material. We dropped a special edition ShackCast, regarding Gerstmann and Gamespot, plus Harvey Smith's comments were cast in a different light. And on a totally unexpected front, Vivendi and Activision are merging.

Later on today I'll post the results for the characters after the game contest, in the meanwhile don't forget that Faylor recapped the week's releases for you. Maybe you should help Julie find her way. Oh, and thanks Sylvanus for this thread about feel-good gaming.

Hope the game biz drama gets turned down a notch for this week.

iD could merge with Epic. Okay, they couldn't.. but it'd be amusing.

GameSpot being outed, then confirmed and confirmed some more not enough? Plus it was made clear that Harvey Smith's comments were made when he was still employed, not as a going away message which had been the previous interpretation. Plus, Activard! Blizzion. Blactivision. God, this will be a game that amuses me and only me for months.

Blacktivision! Every white man is out to get me! 24" rims on an 82 Monte Carlo is a good idea! I'm going to stop now before I say something that'll get me banned!

Valve will release a new patch for The Orange Box that throws in a new game, "Duke Nukem Forever: Source" - seems their programmers used all the spare time they had since HL1 dropped in 1998 to develop and finish the game.
