Killzone 2 Beta Coming in 2008

The planned public beta for Guerilla Games' oft-trumpeted PS3-exclusive FPS Killzone 2 won't be arriving this year, Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed.

"We are hoping to do a beta but I don't think we'll have anything ready before this year is over," an SCEA representative told PlayStation Universe. "It is something we are working on for next year."

"Of course there is going to be a public beta," lead tester Seb Downie stated earlier this year. "I have always said that any game that has an online mode needs to go through a public beta to ensure it works as intended."

Both the Killzone 2 beta and the full game are expected to release at some point in 2008.

this is the game that had all the hype with that "fake" trailer of ingame looking stuff awhile back??....the screenshots don't look good as trailer I remember but maybe everything back then looked like crap so the trailer at the time was like wow

end of 2008..... IF they are very lucky, ive been hearing things on the industry grape vine and things havent been sounding too good, apparently almost 300 people in total from different sony developers were pulled in to work on the single level they currently have (the one shown at E3) so who knows how the rest of the project is going to turn out.
