Ladies and gentlemen, I bid you good morning. Things are looking pretty good around here, there's a fresh contest going on so bring your best writing chops to the table. I haven't had many chances to gather friends up for Rock Banding, but I'm glad those cries of busted guitars are being addressed.

So with the holiday gaming rush finally in control, I think it's fair to look forward a skosh. Post what game or sequel would you like to see announced in the next year. Give a bit of logic, no one really needs to be told Madden 08, but some justification of it's existence would be nice. I'll randomly toss out a Left4Dead t-shirt to someone tomorrow.

1. Jeff Gerstmann of Gamespot writes review of Kane and Lynch for the Xbox 360 and awards it 6.0

2. Eidos, who has been and still is advertising the game heavily on Gamespot doesn't take kindly to this.

3. Gerstmann, after being with Gamespot for over a decade, is out of a job today.

I'd laugh if this wasn't so fucking tragic.

      We view it like the traditional meaning of a blog--a site where individuals post their own opinions, commentary, and thoughts. It's not a traditional editorial, because they don't have to be formed into an article that is worthy of full publication. That's our line--stuff that's genuinely article-worthy goes on Shacknews. Stuff that's just us throwing thoughts out there goes on the blog.
