Ladies and gentlemen, I bid you good morning. Things are looking pretty good around here, there's a fresh contest going on so bring your best writing chops to the table. I haven't had many chances to gather friends up for Rock Banding, but I'm glad those cries of busted guitars are being addressed.

So with the holiday gaming rush finally in control, I think it's fair to look forward a skosh. Post what game or sequel would you like to see announced in the next year. Give a bit of logic, no one really needs to be told Madden 08, but some justification of it's existence would be nice. I'll randomly toss out a Left4Dead t-shirt to someone tomorrow.

1. Jeff Gerstmann of Gamespot writes review of Kane and Lynch for the Xbox 360 and awards it 6.0

2. Eidos, who has been and still is advertising the game heavily on Gamespot doesn't take kindly to this.

3. Gerstmann, after being with Gamespot for over a decade, is out of a job today.

I'd laugh if this wasn't so fucking tragic.

      I disagree that he's obligated to be aligned with his audience. Maybe in so much that he enjoys video games, but that's about it.
      
      And the 7-10 system that most sites operate on is terrible. An 8.8 out of 10, if it truly is out of 10, is an excellent score. Maybe it's not so good if the minimum score for a AAA game is a 7.
