Bionic Commando Gameplay Movies

Capcom has released four more Bionic Commando movies, focusing on gunplay, chain reactions, swing mechanics and wire mechanics. Since the videos are pretty brief, I've combined them into a three minute long video you can stream below.

The environments in this game just keep amazing me every time i see a new video. The main character still annoys me though. I guess it's cool to see a studio going with a new look but he just looks like disney's tarzan.

The gunplay looks painfully generic, the "chain reactions" are just things falling down like in every other game, the swinging looks pretty cool, and so does the wire mechanic.

Why does he fall so slowly? The swinging looks really weird in the way that he is propelled forward with such speed yet when he lets go he seems to just float.

Having never seen someone swinging through the air, it may be very accurate, it just looks funny to me.

I'm impressed how this game looks, and how well the grappling hook is implemented. The post apocalypitic atmosphere is perfect (reminds me of the Duke Nukem levels). I'm already imagining more games that works on same priciple, but set more into the future, and a touch of GTA:SA.

Looks very nice, love the fact you can hold enemies and beat them with objects using your arm. :D Think of it as Spider-man only with GOOD combat and Lost Planet's third person shooting. Sounds like a win win to me, coupled with the nostalgia of Bionic Commando.

While the shooting mechanics shown in that video look kind of bland, the environments in this game are really impressive looking. His wire-arm thing looks pretty sweet too. Gonna have to keep an eye on this one.
