Sex Pistols Reunite to Not Sell Out for Guitar Hero 3
by Carlos Bergfeld, Sep 25, 2007 12:44pm PDTJohnny Rotten and Co. returned to the studio recently to re-record the group's infamous anti-government punk rant "Anarchy in the U.K." for Neversoft's upcoming Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Activision announced the Sex Pistol's re-recording today, as the publisher claims it was "unable to locate the original multi-tracks." "Re-recording them--what a stress you put on us but we rose to the occasion I think...admirably!" said John "Johnny Rotten" Lydon in the announcement. "A bit of anarchy in a video game is alright by me." Though Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock did not participate, original group vocalist John Lydon, guitarist Steve Jones, and drummer Paul Cook returned for the re-recording. No doubt in addition to monetary compensation, Guitar Hero III will sponsor the upcoming Sex Pistols concert at London's The Brixton Academy on November 8. The anti-corporate outfit also re-recorded another of its classics, "Pretty Vacant," for EA Black Box's recently released Skate. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock will retail October 28.

Seriously, sometimes I wonder at the fact that these guys probably get equal shares of the money.
I never really paid much attention to bass lines before GH, but man some of them are really stupid.
