Valve should get their own department of creating shorts for their games and create side stories to the games they sell. IE: Alyx Vance and her robot D.O.G.G., things that don't involve the main character. Instead of creating more playable episodes they can make small shorts to tell more stories about some of the other characters and side stories..

Shit, if they made a machina show out of Team Fortress 2, that would fucking rock!

Engineer was by FAR my favorite class in TFC... so I guess that's why I'm not diggin' this video as much as the others... it's just not how I envisioned him.

I always saw him as a cross between a doggedly hard working joe, and a mad scientist. "What? Those bastards blew up my turret again? Gimmie a few packs and I'll have a new one up. Heh Heh, they won't be expecting it over HERE!"

Nothing like quickly getting a level 3 turret up and operational on the enemy's side of the map =D

This guy is too laid back and lazy for me...

My favorite one so far, and I loved the others. Whoever Valve hired to direct and animate these shorts is doing an amazing job. OMM's great writing goes without saying. Definitely the best game engine cinematics I've ever seen.

haha it's the little things in these TF2 videos that make them fun to watch. Things that most games haven't yet managed to do. For example, when the rockets first fire from the guy, you see the engineer stop for a moment and crack a little smile. In that one instant they convey more about a character than most games accomplish in their entire stories.

Ok, a bit overboard there maybe, but it's still really well done.

I'm not going to say that I didn't love these videos because I really REALLY did. However, they don't really tell me anything about the game. I'm okay with that, but I want to see more clips of the engineer actually doing what he will be doing in game... along with this video.

btw, in IE 7, if I click on the hd stream for this video, it doesn't work and shows a javascript error, 'object not supported' or some such. if I click on teh store and click the hd stream link within this page with the comments then it works. I tried reloading the front page, same thing.
