Well, he's now updated with the recent goings-on: http://www.michaelrighi.com/2007/09/05/papers-please-arrested-at-circuit-city-followup-1/
Not too much yet, as the legal process takes a while, but homeboy is serious about this, taking out a loan against his house and everything.
The part that got me was at the bottom, though:
If anybody is still confused about why I choose to live my life based on principles, I recommend that you read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. If only this world had more Howard Roarks…
I will refrain from commenting on that further, save for that I found that particular tidbit... interesting.

Seriously, somebody should write about his awesome exploits on a blog somewhere so that the world can know how righteous and awesome he is!
...
Oh, wait... He did that himself...
The guy sounds like a douche. Yeah, I know, you need to protect your rights so that big brother doesn't suck out your brain fluids. We are all lambs being led to the slaughter! The New World Order is convening at the Bohemian Grove!
God, just give it a rest. We've heard it all before already; This self-righteous ideology is not fucking unique. (Either is the concerned conspiracy nut; There's a word for that: Schizo-fucking-phrenia) If he was doing this to defend his own moral principles he wouldn't be trying to tell the world his story, he'd keep it to his own impish self.
I'm sorry if I sound so angry/flustered, but this guy reminds me of the type of person that'll come into a store and start yelling at a random person at the product exchange counter. "My receipt said that store policy explicitly states that I have up to ninety days to...[blah] [blah] [bitch and moan]..." Yeah, I realize you're probably the stingiest piece of crap on earth. But hey, you have such a shitty job that you need to make sure you get every penny out of those deals you think you deserve. But then when you find out you don't actually qualify, you go apeshit with hate on a random innocent employee.
That is the kind of person I hate/despise.
I can understand not showing the receipt because you are in a hurry, and I can fully understand if a person wished to attack corporate policy and test the limits of the law by refusing to show his receipt. But the way he went about his personal crusade just reeks of someone trying to get attention by screaming the loudest.
You know what's both more annoying and a greater encroachment on my personal rights than somebody asking for my receipt, or driver's license?
The person in front of me blocking the god damned exit because he decided to become a martyr.
Go fuck yourself.
