I'm still not sure, but I believe I saw Peter Moore jogging shirtless away from the Viceroy (Microsoft E3 HQ) in Santa Monica last week. Could it have been a Shakespearean sign of things to come? It must have been. He was running from his past to a newer, better life in a more optimal location. I still haven't figured out the deeper meaning behind his lack of clothing, but I'm sure it'll come in time--the image of Moore's sweaty, shirtless body hasn't left my thoughts since that magical moment.

  • Japanese PlayStation 3 Sales Reach 1 Million, Wii Sales Approach 3 Million

    Reuters has reported sales of Sony's PlayStation 3 surpassing the million unit mark in Japan, with 1.01 million sold as of July 15. In comparison, sales of Nintendo's Wii in Japan have reached 2.9 million, with Japanese Xbox 360 sales trailing at 420,705 units sold.

  • New Lost Planet Content on PC, Free Maps on 360

    Capcom announced a patch for the PC version of Lost Planet that will add more playable characters, two new camera modes, a movie mode and multiplayer updates. Dead Rising's Frank West, Lost Planet's Joe, and Capcom mainstay Mega Man will be playable after the automatic update Friday. A free map pack including the Radar Field, Island 902, Hive Complex, and Trial Point maps will be available for PC gamers as well. These maps were already available to Xbox 360 users as part of Map Packs 1 and 2, which will become free downloads on Xbox Live Marketplace Friday. The packs are currently available for 400 Microsoft Points ($5) each.

  • Wii Gets Torque Support

    Garage Games and ProntoGames announced the release of Torque for Wii, a Wii-supporting variation of the Torque Game Engine unveiled at the Nintendo Developers Conference. In addition, the newest version of Garage Games' 2D game creation tool Torque Game Builder has been released. Developers using the builder will now have access to a new Behaviors system, allowing for functionality to be easily tied to in-game objects.

  • Play is for Horses: Atari Saddles Up

    Following up on its partnership with the International Equestrian Federation, Atari announced the equestrian simulator My Horse and Me for PC, Wii, and Nintendo DS. W! Games will helm the PC and Wii versions, while Mistic takes the reins for the DS iteration. The game will showcase all areas of the equestrian sport, from stable care to racing, delivered through minigames and both first and third-person racing perspectives. All versions of the title are slated for a fall release.

  • Poker Smash Dealt on Xbox Live Arcade This Year

    Unveiled during Microsoft's E3 press conference, Void Star Creations' poker-themed puzzler Poker Smash will be downloadable on Xbox Live Arcade by the end of the year, the company announced today. Based on the standard match-three puzzle games, Poker Smash will feature six gameplay modes and "next-gen 3D graphics."

            I have no idea what the usage stats were on it. I just figured it's easier to have people not complaining than complaining, and it didn't really cost us any effort or time to change it.
