Xbox 360 Wireless Dongle for Windows Released

Microsoft sends word that the Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows has been released to retailers across North America. Available for $19.99, the device allows any wireless Xbox 360 controller or accessory to be used in Windows XP or Windows Vista games. A $59.99 package containing the receiver and a wireless controller is also available.

this is news now? I bought this ages ago. Didn't it come out in december?

the wheel doesnt support force feedback with it, so its kind of a let down

I picked one of these up.

Turning the wireless controller on also turns on my X360, but I don't care. I wasn't able to find a way to turn the controller off without slightly popping the battery pack off, however. I'd like to see that issue addressed.

i picked one of these up today and theres a lot of people assuming stuff thats not true. first off, you cannot sync the gamepad to the computer unless you turn it on first, this causes any xbox 360s in the same house to turn on as well. theres no way of preventing this other than having the 360 unplugged. even after the gamepad is synced to another device it STILL turns on an unsynced 360 when you turn it on. i wish there was a way of turning this feature off but it sucks. also i havent found a way of turning off the gamepad in windows once its on. they auto turn off when you turn the 360 off but i cant find where you turn it off under windows. it looks like removing the battery is the only way?
