NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB Tested

11

Companies are rolling out the third GeForce 8 GPU based product today, the GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB. Similar to the previous 8800 GTS, memory has been halved resulting in a lower price point. The new card(s) have been tested at HardOCP, AnandTech, PC Perspective, I4U, MadShrimps, Bjorn3D and Guru3D.

    *drooling*

This looks like the card to get. By the time there are games demanding enough that you'll need it and/or Vista/DX10 are worth using, the price ought to be real nice.

Although who knows, maybe the 640mb version will be cheapies by then too.

only thing is I saw on those benchmarks games that had big texture sets it took a bit hit cause of the 320mb ram.. for DX10 I don't think I would want anything less than 512MB.
