Over at the AMD website you can find version 7.1 of the Catalyst drivers for ATI Radeon powered videocards. The release notes mention fixes for Desperados 2, Rome: Total War, Sniper Elite and Splinter Cell Double Agent.

Finally, ATI has put out some updated mobility drivers. Now I don't have to hack the regular ones to work anymore.

After the install (and I used the instructions on how to remove the old ones) when I open a menu it goes very slow? Like when I right-click the desktop, that menu appears very slowly, like i have only 4FPS ? This happens with all windows menu's (right-click on a folder, etc etc)? Anyone know why this happens ? Thanks

  Weird, I started 3DSmax to see if that would work, and somehow the resolution reset itself, and now every... : simon_tack

For folding@home GPU users these are still not fixed. We're all going to have to stick with 6.11 for at least another month.
