Australian White Elephant of AWESOMENESS
I woke up this morning to the doorbell ringing at 7am. Not wanting to get out of bed yet, I ignored it. I checked outside an hour or so later and saw an Avon Products box sitting outside. Thinking to myself "wtf who would send me Avon Products I assumed it was delevered to the wrong address. Until I saw my name on the box and it clicked. WHITE ELEPHANT!!! Upon further inspection it came all the way from AUSTRALIA, from Shavenwok... Australia if you don't know is the land down under, where everyone says "g'day mate" and ride Kangaroos to work! After seeing the cost of postage $57 AUS Dollars I was blown away. Much thanks for sending all this stuff Shavenewok!

I go to the bathroom and one point and my friend, because he's an ass, tells the ladies that I only date anorexic girls. The girls proceed to mock me and pick on this point all night, and I take it in good fun.
As the night winds down and we're all laying around somehow the idea of losing an eye comes up and I say to the girl in the picture "Well, if you lost an eye at least you'd lose some weight."

Kristen Bell: Yeah, I actually have one coming out for Ubisoft. I don't know what the date is; sometime next year. It's called Assassin's Creed. You can check it out at assassinscreed.com. It's actually really interesting to me. It's sort of based on the research that's sort of happening now, about the fact that your genes might be able to hold memory. And you could argue semantics and say it's instinct, but how does a baby bird know to eat a worm, as opposed to a cockroach, if its parents don't show it? And it's about this science company trying to, Matrix-style, go into peoples brains and find out an ancestor who used to be an assassin, and sort of locate who that person is. It's very, very cool, and I've seen all the graphics for it. We just recorded all the dialogue and did all the face scans and body scans, and I'm really excited about it.

Halfway down that page is the pilot's only response, CYVOK claims he crashed out and appealed the shit out of it. He got denied and now says he's leaving the game.
Kinda surreal moment in MMORPG gaming, a single player losing a ship that hundreds of players worked months/years to build.
I guess he intentionally logged out (a known exploit attempt) and fucked up his in combat timers, allowing BoB to stumble across the Titan after the game warped him out and get enough dreadnoughts to the Titan to finish it off for good.

Why wasn't Donkey Kong the boss for Super Mario Brothers? Before SMB the only game that Mario (or jump man, as he was called) was in was Donkey Kong. In that game, DK basically does the same thing that Bowser does in all the other Mario games. Just makes me wonder why they switched DK for Bowser.

Its really fun living in a bigger city, so much more on offer here, but its difficult to make much use of it at the moment due to the typhoon like weather. Started working a temp job as a barman at a nightclub, which is probably the first job i've ever had which isnt boring as fuck. You get to flirt with women all night long, and a few of my friends work there so its a good laugh.
I can feel myself slowly slipping out of the slightly depressive hole i've been in for the last few months. I've been needing to move on, and get my art career in motion, rather just sticking with the safe option which would have been staying where i was. The only bummer is a i dont have broadband yet, and i'm low on money, so probably wont get it for a month or two. but theres plenty of wifi cafe's around which is actually quite nice. Means i dont spend all day on here!
TLDR ; change is good if a little scary, especially if you dont have much money, but worth it in the long run. As abba said, Take a chance!

My mother is after two old Muppet movies - "The Muppet Movie" and "Muppets Family Christmas". Problem is the DVD releases are reported to be hacked and edited to shit, making them worthless.
Does anyone know if the UK version is uncut? Are they releasing a new DVD that will be unedited? They did it with the Muppet show apparently, so to edit the movies makes no sense.
Is the only solution to download VHS recordings?

1) Random lock ups. These are full lockups, requiring me to unplug the set completely and plug it back in. Happens mostly when switching channels, but sometimes even when you first turn it on, you'll be greeted with a black screen and unable to do anything.
2) Audio out sometimes stops working completely. There's no way to fix this except to switch to the internal speakers until it starts working again.
3) Worst remote control receiver ever. Getting button presses to register is a horrible experience.
It sucks because I really love the picture quality. Very little ghosting (most would say none, but I'm anal), very little input lag (ditto), and so many inputs\tuners.
Best Buy lets you return Christmas purchases until early January, right?
