  They vary a lot, you have to pay for lenses and frames separately and frames can go from very cheap to stupidly expensive. Kids glasses will be a lot cheaper than adults. I don't know how it works in the US, but over here kids get lenses for free.
  
  Speaking from painful experience though, please, please buy your kid nice frames. Not Calvin Klein or anything, but spend enough that they look nice. Nothing will get a kid bullied worse than dorky glasses :(
