50,000 points in bf2 was fuckin hard to get when you playing 3 times a week for 2 hours.

1. Randomly click on any icon on your desktop. For more authenticity, try clicking on a really important icon than can screw your entire system over with the wrong keypress.
2. Now try to launch a game of BF2142 from the next screen that appears.
3. Become frustrated and mash keys when you cant launch a game.

1.) The idea of customization is awesome. It gives it a slight RPG feel, without being a poorly thought out combination.
2.) I really liked the unlocks and incentives. They didn't unbalance the game in BF2, and the ranks, though 99% aesthetic, were cool. It was more than just winning.
3.) Without a default medic class, or a default demolitions class, I'm worried that getting an organized squad on a pub server will be an even greater cluster - f*%$ than normal. I worry that the games will become an "assault + c4 + grenades" fest or something, instead of the balanced beauty of squad combat.
Hopefully the new squad enhancements will help address #3, but it's really scary to think DICE is refining all this stuff only to potentially knock squad combat back 3 steps.
