Caesar IV Demo

Wow, awesome demo. :) Pardon my brief impressions, but I'm not in the mood to write out some TL;DR tonight.

This feels like a refined version of Caesar III. The game doesn't feel like something different; it is definetly a Caesar game, and fans that played the first three will be -right at home.- The presentation, character (the citizen's voicework is superb) and UI are all nocely done, and the game flows well.

PROS:

-Great character; the same game we all fell in love with years ago
-Awesome graphics
-Plenty of variety, especially in the terrain
-I really liked the UI
-Sound is put to good use; music is nicely done

CONS:
-Camera movement with the mouse is a little odd (I haven't tried to tweak it yet though.)
-Some weather effects hinder viewing the terrain, making it harder to build
-Buildings kept falling down. Maybe I needed more Engineer Offices. :/

The gist: I'm definetly buying this on Day 1. Hopefully the issues people have been having get resolved, because otherwise the game is a real gem.

Cool, I'm looking forward to playing this! I used to play a lot of Caesar II way back in the day, I remember paying the full $50 for it as a kid, kinda painful. Def enjoyed the game though.

I'm getting a pop under C++ runtime error message after trying to begin a game with 1680x1050. Too bad, I've bought every Caesar game so far and they've all been a ton of fun.

Wow, I didn't even think this game was that close to release yet. Color me very impressed that they're putting out a pre-release demo. Something that CivShitty: Rome has still failed to come through with. Even though I'm not a big fan of the genre, I'm going to give this a download.

People that are fans of the genre, what are your thoughts?
