As long as theres freedom to go and do what you like then I'll love it. I hate games that are too linear, I like to approach situations from many angles...

Plus, it seens the blurring applied to models is a bit strange. Check the left edges of the model closer to the camera... the transparency doesn't blend very well withthe background:

Seens like the blur was applied to a mask of the model area, and not that the model was blurred *then* applied on top of the background. More or less the same problem seen on Garry's Mod depth of view, although the one on that mod looked a bit worse.

In the end, I rarely give a shit about graphics. I may say, hey those suck, or hey those are awesome, but they very rarely factor in to whether I'll try a game out.
But geez. Does anyone ever think that sometimes developers go a little overboard with the graphics? All the shit they're doing here, I would think could be used to better effect (in terms of what they consume - processing power, gpu, ram, etc) doing something else. I'm probably in the minority. :/

One of the standout features of the preview code, though admittedly slightly silly, is the opportunity as the preacher to fight with bible in one hand and peacemaker in the other. Quoting from the good book causes a split second of hesitation in the enemy which you can then use to expose the back of their head from the inside out.
haha, awesome!!
Or is it just another shooter with nifty graphics?
