Finally we can put to rest the question of that stupid PhysX card not being supported, I really don’t know why people think that thing is so great. Adding in support for a card like that will do nothing for online gaming, they think suddenly everything on the map will be destructible and you won’t have fences a tank can’t drive through. The reason why we’ll never have that level of interactivity in large scale online games is limitations in bandwidth.

If they had come in at a price point similar to a decent sound card ($75-80) I think they could've been well well on their way to being accepted by the core community by now but they are so fucking greedy that they are pushing the tech like a high end GPU at $275-$300 but without the immediate and universal impact that a video card has. only getting in as a built -in chip on motherboards will they get anywhere now.

and on top of it you've got ATI and nVidia reaching out for a slice of the Physics pie :) Well, serves them right for bringing out a over-priced hunk of junk. The idea was good, the execution was pathetic.
You've got a good point on Physics processing being adopted as a motherboard standard device for a smaller price, they could've made a killing here but I again, I think the bigger dogs of the processing world would take a keen interest and snatch it away.
Either way, Agaeia (or whatever it was called) is done for.
