Valve just sent word that Half-Life 2: Episode 1 is now available for preloading through Steam. Whether you've purchased the game or not, you can download key files so that when it is officially released and you have bought it, there need be no delay to play.

      does your bank allow for the 1 dollar fake purchase validation method? i think thats why alot of cards have problems. some cards/bankds don't allow for the check.

      I have the same goddamn problem every single time I order - the only time I didn't was when I bought HL2:Silver.

      every time I call my bank, who tell me that they aren't declining the transaction, and then contact valve support (who will probably give me a canned response as per usual), and then I'll try again the next day and it'll magically work.

      Agreed. I have a Maestro card (UK), and it's pretty much what most Students use (18+) if their bank is NatWest. Can't order with it :( I don't want a physical copy. Damn them.

      I wanted to buy the PC version of Zuma but none of my 3 UK credit/debit cards worked.

      It sucks when you're trying to give a company money and they won't take it.
