Bioshock Screenshot

I have felt horrible, because I've wanted to support Irrational (I'm terribly devoted to Sshock2) but I just haven't been able to get into any games they've made lately... (Although Im tempted to go back and buy Tribes now that its cheap)

I'll make up for it with Bioshock though! I'm not even gonna read any reviews, I am just gonna be a 100% ignorant fanboy bastard and buy this monster on release day, because Irrational deserves that from me.

I wonder what that weapon is he is holding.. or is that even a weapon? Whatever it is, this looks really cool.

Not bad for the old unreal engine.

The shots I saw a couple of months ago in GameInformer look amazing, but this shot doesn't impress me much. Bad texture alignment and such.

The mag pics are STUNNING though.

Being completely honest, I dont care if the game comes out for PC 1 month after the Xbox 360...reason is even though it might be a "console port," Irrational Games has a GREAT track record when it comes to PC games, and lets face it...1 month of waiting wont kill us...we didnt start a jihad or crusade just because Half Life 2 was delayed for so long. 1 month is nothing in the scheme of things. Besides, if the Xbox360 version comes out first, then more than likely any bugs that are on that version will be fixed by the the time the PC version comes around. So really, to me there is little cause to be worried, especially since, after all, it is the "shock" series :D

System Shock 2 is easily on my top 5 list...along with Total Annihilation, Freespace 2, Starcraft, Icewind Dale(original, not expansion...was my first RPG and had very fond memories of that game, even though some people only thought it was at par, for me it was a pretty new experience, and I loved coop mode), and of course, System Shock 2(especially with coop...I loved being a sci-op and creating walls to barricade my brother, ROFL)


PLEASE BRING BACK MULTIPLAYER/LAN COOP FOR THE PC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic character design. I love how they have made him look like a steampunk diver. It's better than another hellghast/combine style black masked copycat character, that's for damn sure.

Looks cool and definitely looking forward to seeing more.

System Shock 2 is my favorite game of all time. I love the direction they are taking bioshock - it's not just more of the same cyberpunk stuff. It actually kinda sounds more like steampunk in a way which is cool.

Even though there is no connection whatsoever, this screenshot gives me hope for the next Fallout.

Wow, I've been holding off on Bioshock info (not that there has been much from what I can tell) but this... this looks badass! And no doubt Irrational can deliver on the gameplay goods.

I read an amazing preview about this game in PCZone. It's set in a Russian underwater failed Utopia. Where gene experiments took place and of course went haywire.

Creepy kids are going to feature in quite a big way in Bioshock as the "gene gatherers" and you can make some morality choices where you either befriend them, intimidate them or kill them. But keep in mind they are protected by powerful protector units (which I think is what is in the screenshot).

Anyway there was a ton of other stuff revealed and it does sound very interesting. It's not just going to be System Shock under water.

That is so goddamn beautiful.

Been looking forward to this since it was announced. I hope release isn't too far off.

2006/2007 is potentially the best period in gaming history as far as I'm concerned.
