Yeah, I know what you mean.

Makes one wonder how good the first generations of physics cards will be and if all issues are solved.

Isn't Sony taking a huge risk with including the first generation of physics hardware in the PS3? I mean, it's like console players "beta-testing" hardware for the PC-crowd :D

I think its more of a bandwith issue then a how is hardware going to handle it. The bandwith requirenment for actual reprentation from client to server and server to other client would require an insane update rate for the server and upload rate for the client. Using prediction/confirmation would be nearly impossible.
