Battlefield 2142 Trailer

YouTube is hosting a Battlefield 2142 trailer included with the May issue of PC Gamer, which features a preview of DICE's newest multiplayer shooter. According to the PC Gamer article, the sci-fi shooter is powered by the Battlefield 2 engine and will be in stores this holiday season already.

      Yep. Despite that this has been worked on since long before Quake Wars. (remember the DICE Sweden mention of working on a new title? Looks like it was adapted ot become a Battlefield game by EAs command)

        I think you're mistaken. The scans of PC Gamer's May issue state work on 2142 was started two weeks after the release of BF2 (21/6). That would place it roughly within the first half of July. What Splash Damage/id showed off at E3 in May was some spectacular ingame footage; it must have been quite a way into development given how much stuff they included.

          Which only makes me think they're going to charge $50 for what's really a glorified Mod.
