Firaxis and PopTop Strategically Combined
by Chris Remo, Mar 08, 2006 4:45pm PSTIn Take-Two's analyst conference call yesterday, the company noted that it will be executing various cost-saving strategies over the next fiscal year, including how it manages its development houses. To that end, internal studios Firaxis, Sid Meier's studio best known for the Civilization brand, and PopTop, the strategy developer behind Shattered Union and the Railroad Tycoon series, will be merged. A Take-Two VP indicated that the resultant developer would be headed up by the legendary Sid Meier.
