Recently formed game developer GiantBite made the official announcement of its existence today. The Seattle-based studio is still small, but its short roster has some impressive talent. The four principles currently listed are Hamilton Chu, who most recently spent six years as a producer for Bungie on Oni (PC), Halo (Xbox, PC), and Halo 2 (Xbox); Michael Evans, who headed up Oni for Bungie and was the multiplayer lead on Halo 2; Andy Glaister, former development manager for Microsoft Game Studios and more recently the development manager for Windows Graphics and Gaming; and Steve Theodore, a former Valve modeler and animator on various Half-Life products, and more recently the technical art manager at SOCOM developer Zipper Interactive.
"We're proud of our work at Bungie, Microsoft and Zipper" says Michael Evans, "It was amazing to work with such fantastic teams on games that turned out so successfully. And now, we're excited to build something of our own."

"Giant Bite will keep the traditions of world class production values and cohesive game play. We see a great opportunity to build the sort of company that we always wanted to work for" adds Andy Glaister.

Giant Bite is currently in discussions regarding its first project.

There are no details yet on what GiantBite is currently developing, other than being targeted at next generation consoles and/or PC, but with this announcement falling so close to major events such as GDC and E3, don't be surprised to hear something in the near future.

No kidding. Considering they have a very strong hand in FPS, I'm looking forward to seeing what they're working on.
