TimeShift Multiplayer Beta Signups
by Maarten Goldstein, Jan 06, 2006 10:36am PSTAs announced on the Atari forums, you can now sign up to beta test the TimeShift multiplayer mode. If you have a broadband connection and a PC with a 2ghz CPU, 6gb of HDD space, 512MB of RAM and a pretty recent videocard you can go here to sign up.

That means you can kill someone, rewind time bringing them back up to life and kill them again. But that's yesterday's news, the cool part is that while you reverse you are free to move forward (you're immune like I said above) so you can walk around behind where he was and change weapons and decide to melee him to the back of the head while he runs backwards.
Now make no mistake the game is not easy. If you reverse time you are immune so you don't get your bullets back or your health. BECAUSE YOU ARE IMMUNE SILLY! Same goes for Slow and Stop, which are NOTHING like bullet time or other junk because again you can run at regular speed.
Your suit recharges its abilities all the time so you don't play with some stupid leaky battery or something like that.
Oh, in Multiplayer the abilities work slightly different then singleplayer because punishing 15 players (by putting them in reverse) while allowing 1 player to dominate is only fun if you are the 1 guy.
