Wolfenstein Movie Plans

17

There's a DOOM movie interview on TwitchGuru, asking id Software CEO Todd Hollenshead about the process of getting the DOOM movie made. In the interview, Hollenshead mentions that id is looking to get Wolfenstein made into a movie as well. Thanks to Blues News for the tip.

As for going forward with our own plans, our next order of business is to try to get Wolfenstein made into a movie; I think it could make a very interesting film. The game design for Return to Castle Wolfenstein is basically set up as a film script. Where we'd go from a movie standpoint would be to incorporate a lot of the elements from Return to Castle Wolfenstein along with what we're going to be doing in the next Wolfenstein game that we announced a few weeks ago. It will probably have a little more similarity in terms of the direction of the movie script to the upcoming game.

    Utterly unnecessary. Will suck.

    Sorry.

All entertainment is unncecessary. Entertainment is not required to maintain your existence.

Nice outlook on someone's work you have there ...

Sorry, but these videogame movies always suck.

I don't mind good entertainment though. I feel quite confident this movie, should it be made, will not be among them. And if history is any guide, the vast majority of the public will share my opinion.

Indeed, still gotta see the game based movie that doesn't suck.

Actually, now that I think about it, I did enjoy that Final Fantasy movie (though I've never played the games). I thought it was pretty cool.
