I spent 6.5 hours in a line waiting for a core system last night at Wal-Mart. They only had 5 premium and 12 core systems total, so most people who came in immediately left anyway. Though this sucked because like everyone else I wanted the premium package. But there is no guarantee that I could get one before Christmas so I decided to say fuck it and stand there for 6.5 hours to get a core system.

I take it home and convince my wife, who thinks I'm an obsessive-compulsive maniac, that I need to go to BestBuy at 1:30 AM and stand in line until 9 AM so that I can get a premium system. I was only 22nd in line there and they had 30 premium systems. So I froze my ass off in 20 degree weather sitting outside for 7.5 hours waiting for the damn store to open. About 6:30 AM they came out and gave everyone tickets and told us to come back at 9 AM so we don't freeze too much. Needless to say the parents that showed up around 8 AM seeing few people and expecting an XBox were pissed that they already handed out the tickets.

Needless to say, I'm about to hit Post and setup my premium system. You can shackmessage me if you are interested in the following package that will be going up on Ebay around Christmas if I don't get a good enough offer sooner:

I have for sale:

1) A brand new XBox 360 core system with Component AV cable and a wired controller.
2) A 64 MB memory card necessary to save games in the core system since hard drives are about impossible to get for a while.
3) A Universal Media Remote control to control your Xbox, TV, VCR, DVD, etc...

That is roughly 400 dollars in parts after taxes. You would pay for shipping and I'm not sure how much that is. However, you ain't getting off that easy, I stood in the line rid for about 14 hours yesterday so there will be more payment.

I want 750 dollars. That would include the cost of shipping and handling. I expect a money order or cashier's check. Shackmessage me if you are interested, otherwise I'm headed to e-bay in a couple of weeks.

FREE XBOX 360 Games!

I have unopened copies of PGR3 and Kameo that I'd like to give to two shackers who tried to get an xbox 360 and couldn't (I haven't got one yet either).

What's the catch? Well, I work for MS and we get a budget every year to spend at the company store where MS published games sell for a 50% discount. I'll eat the cost of the games, but the shack has to play by the rules.

To be considered, you have to meet the following requirements:
- You don't currently own a xbox 360, but you made an effort last night/today to get one.
- You are still planning on buying an xbox 360 within the next month (assuming you can find one)
- You must not resell the game. If I see these games on ebay I will rip your testicles out. If you win, you have to e-mail me a picture of the opened game.
- You must have been on the shack for at least 6 months

Obviously I can't validate these rules, so "scout's honor" will have to suffice (that's why I'm limiting to shackers >6 months old).

Now to the fun part ...

To win one of the games, shack message me something funny and mention which game you want. If I've seen it before you probably won't win, even if it's hilarious. I'll go through all the entries at midnight tonight and pick the funniest entries for each game and post the winners.

The oil light came on, i got oil, put it in and accidently dropped the oil cap down below the engine. heres where i ****ed up- i temporarily plugged the uncapped oil hole with a sock and the sock got sucked into it after about 5 mins of driving. its wrapped around the cam shaft-im pretty sure thats what it is... and i need some advice on how to get it out without shelling a shitload of money out to bmw to take it in there. should i unbolt the top piece there and cut it out and then flush the whole thing with some stuff at kragen or just try to cut it out piece by piece through the hole with a sharp razor and take the pieces out with needle nose pliers and then flush it?[/i]

hi guys, help me out please

I waited in line for hours last night/this morning and scored an xbox 360 premium bundle at Costco... this thing is better than the 360 premium. It comes with an extra controllers, Kameo, the play and charge kit, and the dvd remote. And on top of that is Costco's return amazing policy, if anything happens to the console in the next couple of years I can just take it back and they will exchange it. The huge box sitting here right next to me unopened, and I am just dying to play it.

On the other hand I just checked on ebay and these suckers are going for over $1000 which I personally think is absolutely insane. Obviously it's tempting to me to sell it there, and with that money I would pay off some of my wife's medical bills. I would just have to wait until I can find another premium console later.

The thing is I am dying to play this thing and when I'm about to enter a listing on ebay I get paralyzed. I hate the practice of ebaying stuff that's sold out, and I feel dirty being one of "those people." On the other hand, when I think about opening it and passing this opportunity to pay these bills, I think that would be a highly unresponsible move and I also freeze up.

So what would you do? sorry for the emo post :( I realize how lucky I am to have a system in my posession and I don't want to come across as ungrateful, but I'm just confused as to what to do.

So has anyone noticed horrible load times on Xbox games being played on the 360? I loaded up Halo 2 and the initial load took like 3 minutes or more. Also Ninja Gaiden Black took upwards of 5 minutes. Is this normal? Is it a one time thing?

A 3rd party site has a form that we want some people to fill out and submit. We can't change that site or that form. However, we don't want them to have to fill out the same information twice.

What are the minimum hardware requirements for XP Media Center? I took a spare 1.6GHz P4 with 512MB of RAM and loaded up XP MCE 2005. I got all the hardware installed and configured, and told it to tune in to Mythbusters. OMG, lag city! The processor was pegged at 100%, apparently encoding MPEG-2 on the fly? This really doesn't seem right. Any suggestions? Understand that this is a test box, and if I decide to do this for good and replace my TW DVR, I'll proabably be using a 3Ghz P4 with 1.5GB of RAM in it.

Walk the Line

I saw it tonight with a buddy of mine. I was blown away. Much better than I had anticipated. I saw Ray and really didn't like it that much, so I figured I wouldn't dig this too much. I was very wrong. Joaquin is AMAZING as Cash, and knowing he and Reese did their own singing makes it all that much more impressive.

Anyway, much better than average rock and roll story (sex, drugs, and rock and roll, of course) with excellent acting and music.

It gets two balls up from moi!

So lemme get this straight - I install BF2, I download and run the latest patch, and now BF2.exe is missing? Where the hell did you put it, patcher? All the rest of my BF2 folder looks fun.
