Still using a Radeon 9500 Pro unlocked to 9700. I don't want to replace everything to go PCI-E as my P4 is plenty fast enough.
Is a 6600GT a good boost over the 9500? Or should I not bother and try and hunt down an AGP 6800GT?

The one thing I don't like about these little touchpad things they put in laptops is that I always set off the pressure sensitive click when I don't mean to and it never goes off when I want it to. There's a premature ejaculation joke in there somewhere.

I have three hard drives in my PC right now:

C: Maxtor 30gb
D: WD 160gb
E: IBM Deskstar 40gb

I'm tired of running out of space. I need to upgrade my storage. Any good suggestions? I haven't been following HD prices so I'm not sure how much GB / $ will give me the most bang for my buck.

Is some sort of RAID out of the question as well? I'd be interesting in setting up some sort of storage array, and finally begin to create a real home LAN.

Also, I'm out of IDE channels.

So I just learned of something called Bremermann's limit which basically puts a limit on how much information can be processed in a given amount of mass. I'm not sure of the details of the proof of the limit (which involoves Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle and Einstein's mass-energy equivalency), but does this apply to quantum computing as well? I can't get a handle on how deep the structure of the atom Bremermann uses to compute his limit, and whether it goes down to quantum properties.

It's November 16th in my timezone now, so HL2 is one year old for me.

Posted some writings about it yesterday, I'll add a little.

a) I'm going to play through the singleplayer again, but this time in SMOD from http://www.geocities.jp/faster_down/smod_bak/ . It adds weapons, modifies the maps, adds a kick attack, changes enemy behaviour and placement, etc.

b) Damn I wish that lesser-loadingtimes fix gets implemented soon

Firefox 1.5...

How do I prevent Firefox from making tabs opened from my bookmark bar active when I middle click them?

For example - you middle click a link on a website, the tab opens in the background. Back in the day Firefox had an option so middle clicking a bookmark would do this too. But I can't seem to find it in 1.5, and whenever I middle click a link the tab gets focus.

Any suggestions?
