Dawn of War: Winter Assault GONE GOLD
by Maarten Goldstein, Sep 07, 2005 10:00am PDTTHQ today announced that the Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War expansion pack Winter Assault has gone gold. Adding the Imperial Guard and four new units for each of the existing races, Winter Assault will ship to stores September 19.
"The response to the highly visceral combat action in the original Dawn of War was a huge part of the feedback we received from fans," said Ron Moravek, general manager of Relic Entertainment. "But we also wanted to make sure we listened to what our players wanted more of, which is why we are featuring a very deep single player game and a new race that will give multiplayer games a whole new dimension in terms of strategy."

This marks the beginning of a bad fall/holiday season for my ridiculous game purchasing...
Necrons, Demon Hunters, Dark Eldar, Tau all look pretty cool and other armies have been revamped (I like the new Tyranids). I wonder if they would use one of the newer armies for another expansion pack.
