The Shackbattle scheduled for September 3rd-4th is currently CANCELLED, as we no longer have a server to hold it on.
In addition to this, even if we get someone to step forward to host the server for us, I would like to propose that we postpone the Shackbattle for an undetermined amount of time. This will of course be up for everyone to vote on, so if you'd rather just go ahead with it (assuming we find a replacement server), please, feel free to speak up.
1. Harkov's gone. I'd like to make the next OFP Shackbattle a memorial to him, with a memorial ceremony mission (which I'm planning to create) and everything. However, I'd really really really like to be there if we do this, so.. it'd be awesome if we could wait.
2. I'm presently evac'd out of Harvey (on the west bank by New Orleans) due to Katrina, and thus can't participate in it if it does go down on Saturday/Sunday. This is a big deal to me, I've been wanting to do one of these since I got shipped off to Okinawa after the 2004 Shackbattles. We currently have a ton of interested players, and more time will only make it easier for me (and others) to find missions/mods/etc that will cater to the high playercount. Also, if I'm not there, I can't do AAR's/picposts. You might've noticed that I really like doing those. =( In addition to that, I still haven't posted all the preperatory stuff I wanted to regarding this SB anyway, so.. yeah. We WILL have an OFP Shackbattle, mark my words, and when it DOES happen, it'll be awesome. Just give me a bit of time to get set up for it. It might take a month or two for things to work out well enough to get me back to where I was prior to Katrina.. we've waited what, 14+ months already? What's a few more?
Anyhow, for those of you that were planning to attend, post your thoughts on this if you would.

Developers are required to write the necessary code so their games always check your gamer profile before running the game, so they load the common preferences associated to the Gamer Profile that is playing the game.
Of course, you can take your Gamer Profile with you using the Xbox 360 Memory Unit and automatically load your profile in another Xbox 360 and continue earning achievements in other console.
HOLY CRAP that is cool AND usefull and extreme! I like how ms is thinking of even the small details like that. I just want to hug them :(

Anyway, things are getting more and more fucked here. We're right on the evac route so our little suburb of 10,000 suddenly has about 15,000 or more people on the roads and in our shops. Gas is sparse and rapidly rising in price when it does show up. The lines average 45 minutes + unless you go early in the morning or in the middle of the night. Food does seem to be making it here fine and onto store shelves. Baton Rouge is full, we're full, everywhere is full. There's just no place left to stick anyone. A local grocery store that recently closed a few miles from my house has been commandeered and its freezer systems are being used as a makeshift morgue. The Pete Maravich center at LSU is also being used as a body dump for the moment. Police I have spoken to say the deathtoll in NO alone is going to be in the 1000s at most low estimates. My office in Jackson, MS has been without power and phones since Monday. I hear Waveland, MS is gone.

I have cable internet service, and I'm provided one IP address. This might be a stupid question, but is there some way for me to somehow squeeze another machine in there simultaneously? Basically I just don't want to have to disconnect my PC from the intarnet when I want to get on Xbox Love Live but I'd rather not pay for another IP address for just that. Right now they're both going through a router but obviously when one tries to connect it either fails or steals the other's IP.
SORRY IF THIS IS IDIOTIC. MY USUAL METHOD IS PLUG STUFF IN AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL WORK RIGHT.

I'm getting pissed with PvP. I don't go into areas to get ganked repeatedly, I go in to finish quests and level. After getting ganked over and over by a dozen different level ?? horde on the alliance side of ashenvale tonight (the first one was some bastard druid who sat in the bushes and ganked me the SECOND i crossed over from darkshore..) .. I gave up playing for the night.
So, now I'm thinking of rerolling on a PvE server.
So, I'm doing a process of elimination for them. First up, it has to be a PST server, and a PVE server. That alone narrows it down to 16 realms.
What else should I be looking for here? I'm thinking of rolling a dwarf paladin, since they seem to be a pretty underused race/class combo (not many paladins, and most that are seem to be human) .. so I'd like to go for that, rather than being just another hunter or rogue (not that I would roll another rogue, I HATE ROGUES.)
Another thing that pisses me off about the server I'm on is that horde are far more active than alliance, and outnumber us by a bit to boot. So every time I go for warsong gulch, its 10 horde on 6-7 alliance, and we get shitkicked every single time. So I'm thinking I'd like a server with like 2:1 alliance activity to horde, so I'm on the shitkicking side. Though I could go for a more balanced server, and probably should, since I just want to be on the shitkicking side out of spite.
Are there any other suggestions? This will be my 4th char on my 3rd server. I hope to stick with this one and get it to 60...
I'm also planning to check the forums for the final crop of realms I choose, and make sure there arent any problems people are whining about..

PS: Don't believe what the papers say about him. He never went to Fairfax Hospital, he went to Nova, etc. Small things. I will sent one pic with his Apprillia as well.
He also attempted to send me pictures.. unfortunately, Shackmessages ate them, so I've asked him to send them to me via e-mail. I'll post those as soon as I get them.
