Quality Read, and I do agree that Rockstar is at fault, the game barely got in under the AO rating the first time and that was without this. Its not an issue of wheather or not you feel this new found content is AO rated but the fact they hid it from ESRB, trying to "be cute". In addition Rockstar has done an awful job of handling this, throwing blame at others instead of standing up and addressing the issue at hand.

An actual quality comment from Mr. Postal, "

No one company or game is bigger than the industry, the ESRB does a very good job in representing the video game industry, much better than other entertainment industries. Surprisingly, to me anyway, Derek Smart pretty much nailed this one with his comments. The ratings are there for a reason. If the industry doesn't voluntarily police itself then the goobers in the gubmint will happily step in. Rockstar should have excised the content and any moaning, sniveling, wailing and gnashing of teeth on their part is disingenuous and specious. It's also patently offensive to most thinking adults.

What about the sims? If we use GTA:SA as a watermark...
Sims has the "nude" bodies in the game already, they are blurred
A patch just removes the blurring, showing the nuaghty bits

Now they dont have visable sex, so i guess the AO rating is still only for the act of sex, or is this just more of people taking shots at the biggest target.

Well yes obviously this will cost a good amount of money but i just dont think it hurts as much since they aren't manufacturing like they were at launch.

Completely off-topic but wasn't Coffee Talk the name of a Saturday Night Live skit with Mike Myers?

I see this as a blow to PC games. If a PC version had never come out, it might have taken longer to find out about this, or it wouldnt have gotten this far as it requires a $20 piece of hardware to get to it. This may chase a few publishers away from PCs, or allowing mods.

If I was Rockstar I would be giving whoever programmed it into the game a big raise. They are getting so much publicity, and the fact that the nakedness is in the game will make it 10 times more desirable to younger kids. GOOD GOING H. CLINTON.

im not sure about derek smart.. but vince desi and todd both work at companies whose games are rated mature? that's how their opinions are valuable
