I think Carmack said it best. Deathmatch really doesnt' need graphics any better than those provided by Quake 3. And no games have ever given a better DM experience than Q3 or UT, in my opinion.

It seems to me Epic has locked into this Maddenesuqe UT 2kx mindset and just keeps rehashing it with flashier graphics.

But maybe that's just me complaining that the days of games my computer can run are almost over.
