Alex Garden Leaves THQ

According to this story on CGOnline.com, Relic Entertainment founder Alex Garden has left publisher THQ (which owns the strategy game maker). After the acquisition Garden worked at THQ directly, but he has now gone on to pursue his own projects.

      Homeworld 2 and IC may not have been the greatest but homeworld was great and some things are out of his control. I wouldn't say that he had no talent. I hope he starts a new studio and makes more 3d-rts's similar to homeworld, I'd certainly buy it.

      Alex Garden is awesome. To call him a no-talent hack is preposterious. Besides Westwood and Blizzard, Relic is the 3rd most influential studio to the RTS genre. While IC wasn't really that great, The Homeworld games and DoW are some of the best RTS games out there.

      THQ is isn't exactly the most pretigious publisher. While they have published several awesome games during the past year, they have release even more garbage.
