Dawn of War 1.01 Patch
by Maarten Goldstein, Sep 27, 2004 1:08pm PDTTHQ has released a patch for the English language edition of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, updating it to version 1.01. Though release notes are not (yet) available, apparently this patch fixes a multiplayer syncing problem between English and foreign language versions of the game. Thanks jrsX.

First of all, is there any way to enable pausing in multiplayer? Before you are all confused or amused, let me say why it can actually be necessary: I always play with my friends in a way that's me and them vs. CPU players. So every once in awhile, nature calls or real life beckons. Or, maybe, we just need to get a quick snack. It's not a "hey let me pause the game so I can figure out my strategy" thing, it's a "shit something came up" thing. OK? Thanks.
Second, I still haven't figured this thing out: what are the dots under some characters? From what I've seen, they're usually under leaders or heroes (I remember the Eldar Seer Council and Warlocks having 2 dots, and I remember the Farseer having one as well) but they don't seem to have anything to do with cover or morale. Any ideas? Someone suggested defensive bonuses last time but I don't think that's it either, I could be mistaken.
Aside from that, man I dig playing Eldar.
