First Post!

By Maarten Goldstein, Sep 25, 2004 11:29am PDT Unfortunately I failed in my attempt to obtain Call of Duty: United Offensive yesterday. Placed an order online, so hopefully I'll finally have the expansion some time next week.

We're having some problems with the FileShack Los Angeles server, so it's out of rotation at the moment. It's probably going to be a few days until it returns, our apologies to those who use it as their first choice server.

I just got around to playing Rogue Squadron 3: Rebel Strike. What a total letdown this game is. It totally sucks. It's basically identical to Rogue Squadron 2 except with the addition of the dumbest 3rd person platform levels.. I don't even know what the hell to call them. For instance theres this level on Dagobah where you have to follow Yoda to his house, which consists of jumping over this lake by hopping on logs. Thats it.. then you learn the force! Oh yippee.. you push B to block blasters and you can now double jump! Fucking stupid.. now use the force to go back to your shit except take the long way... so now you gotta jump on more logs and rocks and bullshit to get back to your plane which the game makes you lift out of the lake. Fucking hard too I was pushing the "B" button like no other and still the fucker dropped.. and I failed the mission because of it. HE DOESN'T EVEN LIFT THE FUCKER IN THE MOVIE!

I'm conviced the people that made this game have never even seen the movie. What a horrible fucking game. I should have just stuck to Rogue Squadron 2. All the aerial battles are either decent to great.. but man it sucks as soon as you get out of your ship. I just can't fathom the same team that made RS2 making this POS.

Final: Rogue Squadron 3 = D - If you can get passed the stupid ass NON-Rogue Squadron levels you might think this game is a C, but at that point it's more of the same...
