The count down on the Elder Scrolls website has ended, revealing development of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. You can find a massive 12 page preview of the game in the October issue of Game Informer, which will be in stores September 23rd. The Elder Scrolls website has the magazine cover, saying "yes, that's in-game art on the cover". Here's a bit from what Bethesda sent along in an email.

Bethesda Softworks LLC, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion(tm) is currently in development for PC and future generation consoles. In development since 2002, Oblivion is another leap forward in role-playing with its combination of freeform gameplay and cutting-edge graphics.
