Elder Scrolls IV Announced
by Maarten Goldstein, Sep 10, 2004 7:37am PDTThe count down on the Elder Scrolls website has ended, revealing development of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. You can find a massive 12 page preview of the game in the October issue of Game Informer, which will be in stores September 23rd. The Elder Scrolls website has the magazine cover, saying "yes, that's in-game art on the cover". Here's a bit from what Bethesda sent along in an email.
Bethesda Softworks LLC, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion(tm) is currently in development for PC and future generation consoles. In development since 2002, Oblivion is another leap forward in role-playing with its combination of freeform gameplay and cutting-edge graphics. The world-exclusive details on Oblivion are featured in the October issue of Game Informer. Check out their mammoth 12-page cover story to get all the details and screenshots.

I got a little bit into Bloodmoon, but I just had to take a break. I never got to be a werewolf.

...a big "FUCK YOU!" at Bethesda and Game Informer is in order for the "world exclusive" bullshit.
What kind of retard gets the idea to market a "world exclusive" only locally in north america. I know I can't buy that magazine anywhere near where I live.

On top of that I can't see how they stay in buisness having to pay companies to give them the first scoop on stories like this.

Damn thing is still recovering from the Doom 3 Gold announcement.
It is entirely in-game assets, and the shot is taken in-engine in real time.. However, that particular pose was forced (my guess is that you can't normally ride with your weapon drawn).. His face, armor, everything is exactly the same as it looks in game.
