Geez, how many more games are we going to see pushed back to 2005? I wonder if these are legit delays or if the publishers are just too scared to match up against the glut of triple A titles this holiday season. I mean, does it really take an extra four months to make a game compatible with Xbox Live 3.0? On the flip side, great titles are being spread out and we'll always have something cool and new to look forward to for the next eight months; won't see a drought of good titles for a while now.

GCN Metroid Prime GameCube Bundle Announced The rumored Metroid/GameCube bundle is now a reality. Nintendo formally unveiled plans to start selling the GameCube system packaged with last year's hit title, Metroid Prime, as well as a demo of its sequel, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. Also on the demo disc is an interactive history of the series called The Metroid Chronicles, two trailers of Echoes, and a Metroid Prime art gallery. The bundle will be available in stores on August 15 for the same low price of $99.99.
GBA Nintendo Showcases New WarioWare At its Japanese retailer exhibition, Nintendo gave new details on the new WarioWare GBA game, currently titled Mawaru Made in Wario. The most interesting addition to the game is that it will now utilize a motion-sensor in the cartridge. What this means is that you'll twist, turn, and shake the GBA to control the game as it'll make no use of the directional pad. Over 200 new mini-games and 100 bonus games will be packed into the cart.
Xbox Iron Phoenix Slips till 2005 The upcoming Xbox fighter from Sammy, Iron Phoenix, has been pushed back until February 2005, according to the game's website. GameSpot contacted Sammy and was given confirmation of the delay. N-Gage N-Gage Gets a 'Rassler Nokia and THQ are tag-teaming up to bring WWE action to the N-Gage with WWE Aftershock. The game will feature the standard fare in gaming wrestling with the Main Event matches and survival modes. There will be Bluetooth multiplayer action as well as scoring and rank tracking via the N-Gage Arena. Also, through the Arena, gamers can unlock secret characters. It's expected to arrive in stores by the end of the year.
Xbox GCN Gates Wants Nintendo In one of those stories that's not really a story, Microsoft founder Bill Gates mentioned to German magazine Wirtschaft Woche, "If Hiroshi Yamauchi calls me, I'll pick it up immediately." He would also immediately give the venerable old coot an offer on the spot. Now before you begin the hate-fest, understand that this will not happen, at least not any time in the next decade; Yamauchi does not need the money.
PSX PalmPSone One plucky gamer just couldn't hold out for the PSP, so he took matter into his own hands. Brian Gardiner, extreme hobbyist, took a PSone and PSone LCD and combined them into one sleek package and called it the PalmPSone. IGN has a nice write-up discussing the reasons why Brian did this and the official site can be visited here.
