There is a new nin inch nail: access update on the official Nine Inch Nails website, featuring reader submitted questions and answers from Trent Reznor. One of the questions is about Trent's involvement in DOOM3 and he offers his side of the story on why it didn't work out. Thanks Blues News.

  • I'd guess that Trent wouldn't want to do the sounds unless he could be sure of doing *all* the sounds. Which would have meant the game having to be done much earlier, or id waiting for him to finish his album and then come back to the sounds, presumably. Both of them probably a no-go. Not that I know anything.

Did anyone else find his comments about wanting to forgo music a bit strange? I mean, the game (last they spoke about such things) doesn't forgo out-of-body cutscenes which are way more unnatural and unimmersing than a bit of music, and music has such a massive mood-setting effect in films, so its absence seems a bizarre decision to make.
