Ever since I had my annual state safety inspection done last Tuesday, my brakes have a thumping feel/noise to them when they're applied, and it varies to match the speed of the tire rotation. Any thoughts as to what could be causing this? I've taken quick looks at the tires but nothing indepth. I have front disc and rear drums if that matters. I'm guessing the mechanic put something back wrong or something. Thanks.

Have you had to slam the brakes really hard to keep from hitting something? The higher pressure from the calipers can warp hot rotors.
