I played it off beautifully. She brought her computer over because she was having all kinds of mad pop-up problems. I deliberatly took forever runnin spybot and adaware, and she finally grew impatient and told me to keep it overnight.
If I find pics of her nude you guys will be the first to see it!! And I'm selling those pics at work for 50 bux a pop, you better believe it. Everyone and their momma wants to see her naked at my work.
Heh, I'm posting from her computer now.

35 years ago on July 20, 1969 Apollo 11 landed on the moon, marking the first time a (hu)man walked and lived on another planetary body.
Niel Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins lifted off aboard their Saturn V rocket at 9:32AM EDT on July 16, 1969 ( Audio: http://www.nasa.gov/62282main_countdown_launch.wav )
3 days later they were in lunar orbit and one day after that Niel Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon at 4:18 EDT with only 30 seconds of fuel left on the lander, Armstrong's heart rate was 150 during the landing! ( Audio: http://www.nasa.gov/62283main_landing.wav )
At 10:56 EDT Armstrong is ready to be the first person to walk on another world. This event was televised and ~ half a billion people watched Armstrong make his historic first step onto the moon (Audio: http://www.nasa.gov/62284main_onesmall2.wav )
They have done it, they have successfully accomplished what JFK had asked for in 1961 with his speech that the "nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to Earth." ( Video: http://www.nasa.gov/vision/space/features/jfk_speech.html )
Links: http://www.nasa.gov/externalflash/apollo11/index.html
If you have any questions about the Apollo mission, ask away! I spent too much time reading about them and have lots of knowledge and resources that should be able to answer your questions ( hoax questions will be ignored, please visit http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html )

Okay, so you're running any 32-bit version of Windows, Firefox, and you want to make your rendering time over 100% faster?! DEAL!
http://www.moox.ws/tech/mozilla/
I downloaded the most recent Branch Build.
Using this test: http://www.24fun.com/downloadcenter/benchjs/benchjs.html I marked 18+ seconds in IE6, 13+ seconds in Firefox unoptimized, and 5.97 seconds in the 64-bit optimized build.
Obviously these builds aren't sanctioned, but I haven't come across a problem yet. It's just really, really fast at rendering. :)

A team of astronomers have found a colossal black hole so ancient, they're not sure how it had enough time to grow to its current size, about 10 billion times the mass of the Sun.
Sitting at the heart of a distant galaxy, the black hole appears to be about 12.7 billion years old, which means it formed just one billion years after the universe began and is one of the oldest supermassive black holes ever known.
The black hole, researchers said, is big enough to hold 1,000 of our own Solar Systems and weighs about as much as all the stars in the Milky Way.
uhh, thats big. I will never make fun of the xbox's size again.

Just trying to bring up some nostaligia. What are some other PC gaming breakthroughs you remember? There were quite a few from Quake 2 if I remember correctly, colored lighting, the... word I can't remember... interpolating I think it was, of model animations... that ended up giving the rail gun that "neat feature" (bug) of pulsating?

The Sci Fi Channel admitted that it lied last month in claiming it was at odds with filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan and was making an unauthorized biography about his "buried secret."
The documentary, scheduled to air Sunday, says a mysterious drowning of a child in a lake near Shyamalan's boyhood home in the Philadelphia area had profoundly affected his life and fueled his interest in the supernatural. That's not true either, Hammer said.

Ever since I had my annual state safety inspection done last Tuesday, my brakes have a thumping feel/noise to them when they're applied, and it varies to match the speed of the tire rotation. Any thoughts as to what could be causing this? I've taken quick looks at the tires but nothing indepth. I have front disc and rear drums if that matters. I'm guessing the mechanic put something back wrong or something. Thanks.

Also, I rolled over on my remote control in my sleep and changed the channel to home and garden TV, so when I woke up this morning, it was on, for some reason I found the show that was on about landscaping amazingly interesting and watched the whole thing before I got out of bed. I am a sad sad man.

5,789,800 points without continuing; made it to Chapter 4-2.
I know, I suck :(
Earlier today I made it all the way to Chapter 4 with 3 remaining ships (I only died once on the third boss, and I had earned one extra life) which is pretty unheard of for me. (The fing miniboss and boss of Chapter 3 still kick my butt too much.) And I threw two of them away in the first ten seconds. I was furious, since I had finally worked out the pattern of 4-1 to know what color to be when for lucky best survival.

I picked up a PNY Verto GeForce 6800GT last night. It overclocked to Ultra speeds just fine.
http://ajax.shackspace.com/overclock.png I've actually got plenty more overhead too, as it let me test the settings up through 438/1.21 before it failed on me. Since I'm on a 250W power supply I decided to play it safe and stop at the 6800 Ultra speeds. It does get a little warm though http://ajax.shackspace.com/toasty.png I think some Arctic Silver 5 may be in my immediate future.
Also for you DVI menz, this card's DVI out didn't have a problem displaying custom resolutions at all (unlike the BFG card I got last week). I created a 1280x960 resolution and it displayed it just fine. Running BF1942 at its max res again is significantly above average!
I'm using the 61.76 ForceWare drivers from http://www.guru3d.com/ for those interested.
