The explanation from Nels Bruckner is the project proved to be more complex than anticipated so instead they decided to use the project as a development testbed for TRIBES2. Also included in the announcement is a nifty new screenshot of TRIBES2. PlanetStarsiege has a quick Q&A on the matter as well. Oh yeah, sorry about dissapearing for a while. I've come down with a bit of a cold. blech. I've put the Quake3 messageboard back online now.

side note- UT is fun but it still has a quake feel to it.
I wanted this game real bad.
Get some rest, make yourself some chicken soup, put a warm towel on your head, and then take a nice hot bath :)
