UT2004 Q&A

13

UGO has posted their Q&A with CliffyB, asking the Epic Games designer about Unreal Tournament 2004 and other gaming topics. Cliff answers questions about the Onslaught mode, his favorite new weapon, what we can expect from the Assault mode and why UT2003 owners will want the 2004 edition.

bah. capcom got away with selling street fighter 2 about 5 times with a few new characters and a couple of new moves. i have no problem with these kind of update sequels as long as they add something to the gameplay.

I bought SF2 twice and never regretted it. SF2 vanilla was a source of immense fun and SF2Turbo (which came with CE as well) was damned great and IMHO the best of the SF2 series (SSF2T was good, but I've always prefered SF2T personally).

Please. Epic has given away PLENTY of free bonus packs and do a great job of supporting the community.

Yeah I can't really bitch because "they aren't supplying us with enough free stuff." I had gripes about UT2k3, but I can't say "this is a ripoff and should have been free!" Now if they didn't patch buggy shit I'd gripe...but I'm not one of those "I bought the game they owe me" people.

the thing that I don't like is that with regular UT there was 4 bonus packs that were released(one of those might have been a map pack though). The unreal guys are moving this to a franchise though in releasing this game yearly.

but to each his own though.
